Le Cinq is one of the most prestigious and celebrated restaurants in Paris. Situated within the opulent Four Seasons Hotel George V, just off the Champs-Elysées, this restaurant has been a hallmark of French culinary excellence since its inception. The history of Le Cinq dates back to 1928 when the George V hotel first opened its doors. However, it was only in 2001 that the restaurant was inaugurated. The restaurant has been graced by the culinary expertise of several Michelin-starred chefs over the years, most notably Eric Briffard, who served from 2008 till 2014, and Christian Le Squer, who took over in 2014. Under Le Squer’s leadership, Le Cinq earned its third Michelin star in 2016, a prestigious accolade that it continues to hold. The exterior of Le Cinq is as majestic as the hotel in which it is housed. Grand, towering columns, ornate ironwork, and stunning floral displays give a hint of the opulence that awaits diners inside. Upon entering, one is immediately struck by the restaurant's luxurious interior. The main dining area is a splendid spectacle with its gold and grey color scheme, reminiscent of Versailles' grandeur. The room is adorned with beautiful chandeliers, antique furniture, exquisite table settings, and large windows that allow natural light to stream in, enhancing the room's elegance. Adorned with original 19th-century paintings, the restaurant's walls are an art lover's paradise. Intricate patterns and motifs on the ceiling and the plush, velvety chairs add to the overall luxurious feel of the place. The restaurant is known for its exceptional French cuisine, with signature dishes like the Brittany langoustine and line-caught sea bass becoming iconic over the years. Le Cinq's wine cellar, boasting over 50,000 bottles, is a testament to its commitment to providing the best French and international wines. Le Cinq is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience that embodies the essence of Parisian luxury and sophistication. Its rich history, grandeur, and exceptional culinary offerings make it a must-visit for food connoisseurs and lovers of fine dining.
